My clients come to me because they’re overwhelmed with their past painful experiences getting in the way of feeling connected to themselves or others. They’re tired of the same unhealthy patterns, in relationships and in their own lives, but aren’t sure how to break the cycle. They want to feel empowered to set boundaries and listen to their own needs, but have been taught that that’s selfish. They experience anxiety or shame more than they’d like to. To top it all off, as high-achievers and hard workers, their self-worth is usually based on how productive they are.

I work with clients to build (or re-build) their sense of self, whatever that looks like for them. Together, we examine patterns and influences from the past that are creeping up in the present and holding them back from the future they want. We explore the thoughts, feelings, fears, expectations, and goals that exist below the surface and then figure out, together, how to handle them. We strengthen the connection between mind and body to nurture the stories their bodies are trying to tell them. In therapy, we share space and work together to help clients explore who they are and what they need so they can feel empowered to live their lives fully and authentically.
